As a producer, DJ, label manager, music consultant, and avid record collector, he is actively involved in the music world with various projects. He is part of the roster of the Jazz:Re:Found festival and is a resident DJ at the "Boogie Nights" in Vercelli. He has released electronic music records on several labels, and his edits, aimed at DJs with a taste for a more 'black' sound, have been successfully published by Light Touches Records. Together with Marco Schiavone, he founded the record label Icon Of Desire, dedicated to the parallel between electronic music and space explorations. As a DJ, he traverses the universe of black music: American disco, Detroit techno, Chicago house, broken beat, and African polyrhythms, all approached with a curious and spontaneous style that leads him to share rare and unique records with the dancefloor.

Described by Fact! Magazine as the "favorite DJ of your favorite DJ," Lefto has proven himself to be one of the most important tastemakers in Europe. Constantly immersed in new music, he doesn’t just wait for the next thing; he seeks it out. It's no wonder that he's affiliated with international labels such as Brownswood Recordings, Serato, 101 Apparel, Boiler Room, BBE, Ninja Tune, R&S, Blue Note, Tru Thoughts, New Los Angeles, and K7 Records. After spending 20 years at Belgium's leading national FM radio station, Studio Brussel—where his show won first place as the best radio program four times at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards and received critical acclaim from Rough Trade, Gilles Peterson, MTV, and many others—Lefto decided to leave the station to join the new and talked-about Kiosk Radio, located in the heart of Brussels. "Think outside the Kiosk" is the name of his new show, which is also broadcast on The Lot Radio in New York. In addition to his new venture with Kiosk Radio, he continues his collaboration with WorldwideFM on Saturday nights. Dedicated to the future of music yet mindful of its past, Lefto's background is firmly rooted in jazz, new beat, acid, house, and rap music. Famous for taking his audience on a journey from jazz to Ghetto Tech and for blessing sound systems worldwide with regular nights in Japan, South Korea, the USA, and Europe, he also curates his own nights in Belgium and serves as the artistic director of a stage at the Dour Festival.

Simultaneously, he traveled the world as a DJ, performing at venues such as the Blue Note in London, Giant Steps in New York, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and other iconic locations. Since the late '90s, LTJ has been producing music and curating compilations for some of Europe's most important labels. Over the years, his DJ activities have been complemented by his role as a collector and reseller of rare records, which has enabled him to connect with DJs around the world and to rediscover forgotten gems from music's past. As an incurable vinyl addict, he initially embraced post-punk as his adolescent soundtrack but soon shifted towards the black music universe, starting with 7" R&B, exotica, Latin, and progressing to funk, soul, afrobeat, and jazz in all its shades and incarnations. With the motto, "I tried with the straight beat, but just couldn't do it," he has over the years challenged dancefloors at clubs and festivals; for some seasons, he also lent his voice and records to radio. His love affair with music is further expressed through words: he has worked for over ten years as a journalist, social media manager, and communication strategist for festivals, events, and record labels.

The genre is what we might call "Californian," a "psychedelic-futuristic" sound that, in the tracks laid down by Flying Lotus and Thundercat, has become one of the most interesting soundtracks of contemporary times. Fabio Visocchi and Luca Bologna are pioneers of the Milanese scene in terms of experiments of this type, both producers, one in love with the world of keys, the other immersed in the grooves of bass lines. They form an original and surprising duo, capable of marrying jazz and soul harmonies with future beats, creating a blend that, in their live performances, transports the audience for a moment to the suburbs of Los Angeles.
